Avocados are rich in good fats, omega fatty acids, vitamins, and many other anti-aging properties.

Apart from being a good ingredient for our health, it is also very beneficial for the skin.

These nutrients revitalise the skin and make the face glow and youthful. The following are homemade mask recipes using avocados that can help avoid wrinkles and keep the skin fresh.

1. With Honey

Ingredients

  • Ripe Avocado – 1/2
  • Honey – 1 Tablespoon

Method

  1. Peel off the skin of the avocado and cut it into pieces.
  2. Using a fork, or a masher, mash the avocado till a smooth paste is formed.
  3. Add the honey and mix it well, till the honey is fully incorporated.
  4. Put this paste on the face and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  5. Wash it off with warm water.
  6. Do this twice a week for the best results.

2. With Lemon

Ingredients

  • Ripe Avocado – 1/2
  • Lemon – 1/2

Method

  1. Peel and mash the avocado in a bowl till a smooth paste is formed.
  2. Squeeze the lemon into the paste and mix it well.
  3. Apply it on the face and leave it on for 20 minutes.
  4. Wash it off with warm water and pat dry the face.
  5. Repeat this process 3 times a week for the most efficient results.

3. With Cucumber

Ingredients

  • Avocado pulp – 1/2 Cup
  • Cucumber Juice – 2 Tablespoons

Method

  1. Mix the avocado pulp and cucumber juice in a bowl.
  2. Wash the face well and then apply the mix all over it.
  3. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it away with warm water.
  4. Pat dry the face.
  5. Repeat this process twice a week for the most effective results.

4. With Flaxseed

Ingredients

  • Ripe Avocado – 1
  • Ground Flaxseed – 2 Teaspoons
  • Honey – 1 Tablespoon
  • Milk Cream – 2 Tablespoons
  • Blender – 1

Method

  1. Take out the skin of the avocado and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Put the avocado pieces and the flaxseed into the blender and blend it for around 2 minutes, till a smooth paste is formed.
  3. Add the milk cream and honey and mix it well, till all the elements are well infused.
  4. Apply this mixture on the face at night and only go to bed once it is completely dried.
  5. Wash the face next morning with warm water and a face cleanser and then pat dry.
  6. Repeat this once a week for the best results.

5. With Coconut Oil

Ingredients

  • Ripe Avocado – 1
  • Coconut Oil – 1 Tablespoon
  • Aloe Vera Gel – 1 Tablespoon

Method

  1. Peel and mash the avocado and place the paste in a bowl.
  2. Add the coconut oil and mix it thoroughly.
  3. Then, add the aloe vera gel and stir it till it is fully incorporated.
  4. Wash the face well and then apply the mix on the face.
  5. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wipe it with a damp cloth.
  6. Wash the face with cold water.
  7. Repeat this process twice a week.

6. With Coffee Grounds

Ingredients

  • Ripe Avocado – 1
  • Coffee Grounds – 1 Teaspoon
  • Cocoa Grounds – 1 Teaspoon
  • Olive Oil – 1 Teaspoon
  • Coconut Sugar – 1 Teaspoon

Method

  1. Slice & scoop out the avocado pulp and mash it well till a paste is formed.
  2. Add in the coffee grounds, cocoa grounds, olive oil and coconut sugar in. Make sure it is fully mixed.
  3. Apply this mixture on the face and neck and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  4. Wipe the face with a damp cloth and then rinse the face.
  5. Repeat this process 3 times a week for the best results.

Tip

Before attempting any of these methods, it is advisable to first do a patch test.
